A Harmonious Blend of Light and Dark – An American-Style Kitchen

This stunning kitchen was designed for homeowners who previously lived in New York and wanted a spacious, American-style kitchen with abundant storage and functionality. The design beautifully balances contrasting tastes: the wife’s preference for lighter finishes and the husband’s love of darker tones come together to create a harmonious interplay of timbers, textures, and patterns.

Vaulted ceilings with apex windows flood the space with natural light, bringing the lush greenery of the outdoors inside. Cabinets line the walls, with a secret passage door concealed within the tall units, while a central island with bar seating offers a welcoming area for guests.

The kitchen is thoughtfully zoned for cooking, cleaning, and entertaining, with Miele appliances throughout including Vitroline ovens, warming drawers and induction hob with surface extraction and an integrated bar area that is visually distinct yet connected to the main kitchen through coordinated finishes, that also houses a Miele wine cooler and Kaelo wine chiller.

What we were able to achieve with this kitchen design is a light, airy, and functional kitchen that perfectly captures the feel of a large American kitchen while seamlessly blending diverse finishes for a timeless and sophisticated interior.
