Kitchen Splashbacks

Although splashbacks may not appear to be the most exciting aspect of the kitchen, the various material and accessories options available are allowing us to utilize this under-cabinet wall space for storage, organization or even making it a feature of the kitchen.

We work with all of the following options and depending on your preferred style, budget and design, we can help you to decide which is the right option for you and your project.

Glass

Likely the most known material for a splashback, alongside tile, is toughened glass. Glass is easy to maintain, resilient to heat sources and can be made bespoke in any shape or size and colour, as well as a pattern or image, giving you various options to add that personal touch to your kitchen design.

Niche Laminate Panels

Supplied by Leicht and Schuller, ‘Niche’ panels are used as a durable and easy-to-maintain splash back, suitable for use behind the sink and hob and can be modified to a bespoke size to fit your design.

These can be used solely on their own or in addition with a worktop upstand and can be also used as cladding within the design. Bolt on accessories and shelves, available from Leicht, can also be added to utilize the space for storage and organization.

These laminate panels are available in any door finish, allowing you to tie in your splash back with the rest of your scheme or add a splash of contrast by adding a woodgrain finish.

Schuller Panel System

Similar to the Niche panels, Schuller offer a splashback panel system with accessories including utensil hooks, knife blocks and herb and plant boxes, to help organize and keep the kitchen worktop clear.

LED strip lighting is also optional to add further task lighting to your workspace or an atmospheric glow to your kitchen at night.

Suitable to work with any laminate finish, the panel system allows you to add a unique, functional feature to your kitchen design.

Worktop Upstand

An increasingly popular choice for the backsplash is to continue the worktop up to meet either a floating shelf or wall units above, which can create quite the ‘wow’ factor, especially if your chosen worktop has a dramatic pattern or feature.

  After obtaining quotes from various large retailers, kitchen designers and carpenters we decided on a German kitchen and contacted Hubble as a local company to us.   Hubble designed a lovely, modern kitchen which has been admired by many visitors.  They helped me keep to my tight budget by suggesting a melamine door, which looks and feels stunning,  while having a painted island in a different colour to add contracts and interest.  I had chosen an Adobe boiling water tap on price, which was a big mistake as it was useless, but Hubble arrange to have it replaced with a Quooker while I just paid the difference in the new price.  Great service and a friendly bunch of people.
