Highgate

Highgate

An Edwardian home, for modern living.

In contrast to the Edwardian front façade of this property, the kitchen is set within a modern rear extension with exposed iridescent brick, feature glazing and a micro-cement floor. The client’s aim was to provide a suitable space to entertain without losing its family home appeal.

The scheme comprises two matt lacquer materials from Leicht – Carbon Grey & Merino -finished with Ceasarstone’s White Attica Quartz worktop featuring a full height splashback and waterfall detail to the island.

A particular request for this kitchen was to achieve seamless integration of the tall elevation, creating a full-height feature wall whilst still maintaining the critical elements of any family kitchen. This was achieved using electrical opening mechanisms for the Siemens IQ700 refrigeration appliances, avoiding any handle intrusion.

Amongst the tall elevation is a passage door, or secret door which gives access to a back kitchen and the front of the house. This is a versatile area where our clients are able to work and prep; it’s perfect for entertaining!

Further elements of the kitchen include a handle-less Miele wine cooler, Novy cooktop and extraction, and a 4 in 1 Zip tap offering sparkling, chilled and boiling water.
