Curved kitchen islands have been an emerging trend for 2025, becoming more popular as homeowners look to create a gentler scheme, with softer lines to create a welcoming, ergonomic flow.

LEICHT are responding to this growing demand for softer, inviting interiors with the addition of curved side panels that offer gentle transitions and emphasise on the flowing character of modern living and kitchen spaces.

From here, we explore how Hubble Kitchens can integrate curves into your modern kitchen design.

Curves in Interiors

Curves have been appearing in various styles and periods throughout design history for both kitchen and living spaces, seen in furniture, architectural features, lighting, décor and even floor plans.   As their prominence has fluctuated over the years, we are seeing curves dominating interior spaces once more.   Not only can they be visually striking, but also highly practical in open plan spaces where smooth edges encourage movement and connectivity.

LEICHT’s expansion of new curved side panels offer design variety for kitchen and living room planning, adding softness, visual interest and practicality to your home.

Stylish planning: New curved side panels from LEICHT.

LEICHT’s curved side panels with flowing lines create a new, generous sense of space, linking individual units to create iconic furniture, giving a stylish finish to island and unit runs.

As a design option with a wide range of possible finishes, the new curved panels can be integrated with floor, wall and tall units and are variable in height, width and depth.

Curved Islands

These new panels allow the possibility of symmetrically curved islands, that make a striking focal point offering a unique and modern aesthetic.

A perfect place to experiment with playful colour, choose from the Classic FS Matt Lacquered colour range or the exclusive Le Corbusier colour nuances to inject a bold feature that can be harmonised with a warm, wood texture.

No room for an island?  Not a problem.  Optionally rounded on one or two sides, curves can also be added to single runs or peninsulas.   Whether with a large radius or a small one – the side panels reveal their space-defining effect in two thicknesses: 5cm and 15cm, offering a wide scope of design options for any layout.

Curved Details

Rounding the edges of worktops in line with the curved cabinetry create an even more fluid and inviting feel.  Designing your curved island with a LEICHT porcelain ceramic 1.2m thick worktop to match the curved silhouette creates an elegant and expressive detail that accentuates the craftsmanship of this design range.

Other matching worktops are also available in laminate, glass and solid wood to suit any design.
