We have a small but experienced, creative & very talented team of professionals, a great culture of collaboration and support, and with our new Main showroom now open, we are looking to expand our design team with a junior designer, looking to develop a long term career with an innovative & reputable company.

Job brief

Reporting into Senior designers, this role will enable a budding designer to develop their skills, working with high end products and the latest software to design kitchens and interiors tailor made to clients’ briefs.

You will receive training on the software and learn every aspect of the process from initial design to installation.

There will be an ample chance to get involved with other areas of Project Management as well as visiting clients’ homes to undertake surveys and monitor progress.

This role requires someone who is passionate about design, a desire to work with high end and innovative products and strong attention to detail.

C.A.D designing & software systems are evolving, so maintaining up to date knowledge and continuous learning are key.

Responsibilities include:  Assisting and developing in:

  • Creating innovative and tailor made designs for customers & installation teams
  • Listening and interpreting customers’ requirements, style & budget
  • Creating draft plans by hand sketches.
  • Using the CAD planning software to produced detailed design schemes and quotations.
  • Supporting the project administration & maintaining project schedules
  • Occasional site visits prior & during an installation to ensure correct interpretation of designs & measurements.
  • Providing installation team with copies of graphical & service plans and any project details
  • Developing product knowledge and keeping up to date with new products materials, including keeping the showroom up to date with the most current samples & literature
  • Learning about appliances and furniture in order to be able to ensure the best solution for customers and accuracy in designs.
  • Ensuring pricing of items within your designs is accurate.
