When our kitchen designer, Anthony, first surveyed this Brighton property the living space re-decoration was already underway.

Through conversations with the renovation’s architect & interior design firm, Arior Design, it was quickly recognised by all how a partitioned entrance to the kitchen could be delivered. The objective was to extend the understated modernity of the house and make the most of it original features to show how modern inspiration can pivot design trends of the past.

Leicht matt lacquer panels flank the handle-less kitchen doors and the wall panelling. This uniformity of colour encases the room in seamless integration without detracting from the colour feature wall. The extensive plan for a pocket system within which the entrance doors could fold and hide then unfold again was genius! The beauty and simplicity of the finished effect is obvious.

As with all our design and craftsmanship, attention to the smaller details was integral to this kitchen design. For instance, the choice of Silestone’s Lyra suede for the worktops – a non-reflective surface that, in this project, allowed the shine of the wall tiles to dominate, whilst the soft and velvety feel offers the occupants an appealing contrast of texture. Also, the absence of worktop appliances, like a kettle, is thanks to the inclusion of Quooker’s Fusion tap, which benefits users with an all-in-one domestic hot/cold water and boiling water facility. All other appliances belong to the Siemens Home Connect range, which boasts a new level of interactive benefit to users, that is, remote wireless control via an App on your mobile device.
